If I Could Ask Questlove Anything

I love being in the position where I get to interview bands.  It's something I've always dreamed of doing.  Even so, there are many artists that I will never have the opportunity to interview.  That doesn't seem to ever stop me.  I sit here, with my lap top, thinking of questions I'd love to ask musicians.  I have a never ending thirst for knowledge that way.  This coming weekend I am getting to take my boys to The Roots Picnic in Philly.  Things like this always get me dreaming.  What if I just so happened to run into Questlove?  What would I ask him?

I just so happen to have a list.

1.  You are the leader of the Tonight Show band.  You are drummer of The Roots.  You are a collaborator and a session musician.  You dabble in restaurants.  Headline festivals. DJ.  You co-founded Okayplayer and whatever else I am forgetting.  I'm tired just listing all of these things.  You can't keep this pace forever...can you?

2. You are obviously a very intelligent man.  If it wasn't for music where would you be?

3.Did you ever get Patti LaBelle's fried chicken and vanilla pancakes?

4. Looking back at The Roots discography, which album do you look back at and say, "Shit, we were ahead of the curve.  This was groundbreaking."?

5. What lies ahead for The Roots?

8. I've heard you are one hell of a scrabble player.  What is your favorite scrabble word to play?

9. I consider you the king of social media.  You navigate Periscope, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram like a freakin' champ.  Would you be where you are without it?

10.  What drummer right now makes you feel that you have to up your game?

11.  Give me one thing that we do not know about Questlove?

13.  You have a time machine. You can go back and play on any one album and make it better.  Which album is it?
